Q. Are you open year-round?

A. During peak season, we are open 7 nights a week. In the offseason we are open 6 nights a week, closing on Monday evening.

 

Q. Can I make reservations?

A. We serve on a first come, first served basis, especially in the summer. If you have a large group dining, you may call ahead and let us know so that we may be prepared.

Lodging FAQs

Q. Do all of your rooms overlook the river?

A. Every room we offer overlooks Current River except for two. These two rooms are located on the river side of the building, but their river views are obstructed by our decks.

Q. Are all of your rooms non-smoking?

A. Yes. We are a smoke-free establishment at The Landing, so all of our rooms as well as The Blue Heron restaurant and The River Store are non-smoking. To accommodate smokers, we do provide plenty of outside ashtrays which are positioned throughout the premises.

Q.What time can we check in?

A. Check-in time is 3:00 pm and check-out time is 11:00 am. If you arrive before 3:00 pm, check with the hotel front desk, and if your room is ready, we will be glad to check you in early.

Q. Does the Landing have internet access?

A. Yes. Each room has dial-up Internet access available at no charge. We also offer wireless broadband Internet access in the hotel lobby and a few select rooms.

Q. Will coffee be available in our room?

A. We at The Landing firmly believe in waking up in the morning, stepping outside, taking a deep breath of fresh Ozark air, and gazing at glorious Current River. Therefore, we do not provide coffee pots in the room, but instead ask you to come visit the hotel lobby or The River Store and our friendly staff will greet you with a hearty “Good morning!” and a fresh cup of complimentary java. Coffee will be available at 6:00 am in-season, and 8:00 am off-season.

Q. Is there an area where we can barbecue?

A. Unfortunately, since we have a wood-framed building with plenty of wooden decks, our insurance policy does not allow for ANY open fires anywhere on the premises or on the gravel bar. However, we can suggest the pristine Big Spring National Park, located 4 miles south of The Landing, as a wonderful place to grill. If you’re looking for an area more conveniently located, there is a public riverfront pavilion directly across the river from us.

Q. How many people can we put in one room?

A. Our single rooms with king beds can accommodate up to 2 people (3 including a small child), and our double rooms with 2 queen beds accommodate up to 4 people (5 including a small child). We do not offer rollaways for extra people. This is strictly enforced and there are no exceptions.

Q. Do you have a swimming pool?

A. We do not have a swimming pool. During warm months, our river access is available for swimming from sunrise to sunset.

Q. Are pets allowed?

A. Pets are not allowed at The Landing & Rosecliff Lodge.

Floating FAQs

Q. How often do you transport people up the river to float?

A. On weekdays, we go about every 30 minutes. On weekends, we go more often, but with large crowds wait times may be longer. We make a great effort to get you to the river as soon as possible.

Q. Will you haul my personal canoe, tube, kayak, etc?

A. We do haul your personal floating vessels. Most times, the fee for hauling your vessel is the same price as if you were renting our vessels. It is best to call in advance to specify the details about your personal vessel. To expedite and make your float more convenient, we strongly recommend using our equipment.

Q. How late in the day can we go out on a float trip?

A. Depending on the time of year, we can take you floating up until 4pm. 

Q. How cold is the water in Current River?

A. The temperature of the water stays relatively the same temperature throughout the year with a range approximately between 60 to 70 degrees.

Q. Are there lockers available while we go floating?

A. We do not have lockers available for use on your float, however you can lock up your possessions in your vehicle and check your keys into our free key check.

Q. Are pets allowed to go floating?

A. We do allow pets to go floating with you, however, the lodge is a pet free facility.

Q. Do I need to make reservations for my float trip?

A. Reservations need to be made if you desire to float on a raft, kayak, or in a canoe. We highly recommend that reservations for those vessels be made in advance if coming on a weekend day. For all overnight canoe trips, reservations are required and extra information needs to be discussed before the trip is booked. This allows The Landing to be prepared in expediting your float trip. However, we do not reserve tubes. Tubes are in large supply and are not necessary to reserve.
